Cheddar Valley Community Church

'The Oasis’ is nestled within the Mendip hills in Somerset, in the village of Cheddar, not only famous for it's cheese, but also it's gorge and spectacular caves.

Cheddar provides an ideal setting for Christians to get away.  We have a particular desire to provide a retreat facility for those in leadership to find rest, both physically and spiritually, giving opportunity in a relaxed setting to learn what God is saying to them.

The village and the surrounding area has lots to offer, including a sports centre with a swimming pool and gym.  There are many cycle routes and walks around the Mendips together with the stunning Gorge and Show Caves, as well as more extreme activities for those so inclined, including some serious mountain bike trails, 4x4 driving and Quad bikes.

The Oasis flat is self contained, consisting of a large lounge/diner, one double bedroom, another with two full size single beds together with a folding bed, bathroom and galley kitchen.  The flat is on the first floor of our Church House that also has a prayer room, library and offices on the ground floor.  There is ample parking is available at the front and rear of the house. 

We regret that the flat currently has no disabled access and we are also unable to accept pets.

There is no charge for use of this facility; although gifts and donations are accepted.
